Assassin's Creed Odyssey already a massive game got just a tiny bit bigger today. Ubisoft quietly pushed out a free update that added a new questline called "The Show Must Go On." All in all it's a multi-mission story that takes approximately an hour to complete -- and it's pretty decent as far as these things go.
Odyssey's Lost Tales of Greece are a series of missions coming to the game for free at regular intervals. The first titled "The Show Must Go On" will be available to play as soon as you nab Odyssey's patch 1.0.6 which arrives on all platforms today. The download weighs in at 4.1GB on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and 3.6GB on PC.
Ubisoft plans to release these free DLC stories interspersed between chapters of its two big season pass story arcs. Seven free tales are on the way to keep you busy with more story missions for the foreseeable future. Both of these pieces of DLC will have three episodes each that will be released over the course of six weeks. Legacy of the First Blade’s content starts being rolled out December 2018 while The Fate of Atlantis begins becoming available in spring 2019.
In addition to the aforementioned episodic story arcs Assassin’s Creed Odyssey‘s Season Pass also includes an extensive lineup of free content that includes new narrative materials and in-game events available for all players after launch. For instance there will be the free episodic quest lines offered up in The Lost Tales of Greece the exploration and educational tool called “The Discovery Tour” a New Game Plus mode and more. Perhaps most exciting of all is the fact that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey‘s Season Pass will also include two free games from the series along with all of the two titles’ related pieces of DLC.
All things considered it definitely looks as if Ubisoft plans on supporting Assassin’s Creed Odyssey for quite some time after its release. With this being the case the development team behind the title will thankfully have plenty of time to focus on the post-launch assets due to the fact that no new game in the series is coming in 2019.
