Players of Final Fantasy XIV are reporting major performance issues within the recently released Mac client. Low framerates, hanging launchers, and graphical errors are common being seen.
On the state forums, and reddit, many players are claiming the FFXIV Gil runs more effective through Bootcamp (a means to run Windows OS on the Mac computer) than inside so-called native client:
“I employ a late 2013 Macbook Pro (GT750M model) even though FFXIV runs about 50-60 FPS via Bootcamp/Windows for the preset "Laptop (normal)" on 1680x1050, it barely runs with 20 FPS inside same zones with similar presets via Mac OS X.”Kotaku claims the action isn’t technically a native client, but merely the Windows client being explain to Buy FFXIV Gil you a wrapper, which explains why the specs necessary to get the sport playable really are a bit higher.
